Idaho Trust Company Welcomes John P. Osai to Idaho Falls Office as VP, Trust and Investment Officer

Idaho Falls, Idaho – December 28, 2025 – Idaho Trust Company announced today that John P. Osai, JD, has joined its Idaho Falls office as a VP, Trust and Investment Officer. In this role, Mr. Osai will support clients with advanced planning needs, drawing on a diverse background in law, business, and technical fields to help families and individuals protect and build wealth across generations.

Mr. Osai has been licensed with the Idaho State Bar since 2006 and previously practiced as an attorney with his own firm, John P. Osai, PA, from 2006 to 2017, focusing on client advocacy and complex matters requiring careful attention to detail. He is an active member of the Idaho State Bar Taxation, Probate & Trust Law Section and the Eastern Idaho Estate Planning Council, reflecting a strong commitment to estate, tax, and trust-related issues.

Mr. Osai earned his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He also holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive Technology and Technical Sales from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, and an Associate degree in Automotive Business Management from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Mr. Osai’s educational path reflects both analytical rigor and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

In addition to his legal background, Mr. Osai has extensive hands-on business and technical experience. His professional history includes roles as a Field Service Engineer, Customer Service Manager, and Arbitration Representative at Ford Motor Company (1998–2001), as well as work in the automotive industry as a Service Writer at BMW of Idaho Falls. He has been an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Automotive Master Technician since 1994.

Mr. Osai is also a long-time General Contractor with Alliance Construction Contractors in Idaho (2005–present) and a real estate investor with M&B Ventures, LLC, with experience in fixing and flipping homes and managing construction projects. These roles give him a practical perspective on real property, project management, and the real-world implications of financial and estate planning decisions.

Mr. Osai is deeply involved in his community and church. He has served as a Church Youth Leader for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Boy Scouts of America leader, and a Deseret Industries employment mentor, helping individuals develop job skills and improve their opportunities.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family—especially his grandchildren, nephews, and nieces—serving in his church, and staying active. His interests include social dancing and watching his children compete in ballroom and Latin dance, traveling and sightseeing anywhere he can go fishing, working on resto-mod vehicle projects, and fixing and flipping houses. He is an enthusiastic sports fan, particularly of BYU, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Golden State Warriors, and he enjoys watching boxing, breakdancing, beatboxing, and basketball.
