Idaho Trust Bank was founded in 1994 by Daniel Prohaska and Thomas Prohaska. At the time, the Prohaska brothers were actively engaged in the building of a successful law practice. However, their clients were faced with the disappearance of Idaho's "100 year banks" through acquisitions by out-of-state mega-banks. The Prohaskas and their clients were frustrated with the resulting lack of personal service and elimination of local decision-making.
Today, Idaho Trust Bank has a simple mission: We Help Clients Create and Preserve Wealth for Generations. To accomplish this, Idaho Trust excels at assessing client needs, offering specialized banking products and providing wealth management expertise. These efforts are inspired by our Corporate Values.

Idaho Trust's Identity
Beginning in the ancient world, and still today, the laurel wreath has represented prestige, power, status, success and victory.
It has been used as a representative symbol in art, on money and architecture. It has been used by Romans, Greeks, Napoleon, Governments and the Olympics. Now, it is the icon of Idaho Trust.
The Idaho Trust Blue Laurel acknowledges the success, status and achievement of our clients. It also represents the honor bestowed on us by our clients to help them achieve their personal, financial and business goals and objectives.
The design of the Blue Laurel has also been carefully selected. This modern take on a traditional shape represents our progressive approach in creating. The symbol builds in an expanding, growing, upward-trending sweep meant to convey an approach to our client relationships that is positive and successful. Finally, the rounded shape is intended to stir emotions of security and safety.
The color blue is used because it conveys importance and confidence. It is strong and steadfast while still being friendly. The light blue used represents the sky color of southern Idaho while the dark blue represents the color of north Idaho's mountain lakes. In the laurel these colors work together just as our northern and southern branches work together to create one great institution.
