PRIVACY STATEMENT

The directors, management, and staff of Idaho Trust Bank (Idaho Trust) are concerned about and respect the privacy of our customer's personal financial information. We understand that our customers furnish sensitive information to the bank in the course of daily business, and the bank is committed to treating such information responsibly. We know that our customers expect privacy and security for their personal and financial affairs.

The bank has established standards and procedures to safeguard sensitive information that has been entrusted to us by our customers. The following privacy policy and disclosure outlines our bank's practice regarding personally identifiable financial information for customers and those consumers who become our customers.

SAFEGUARDING CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Idaho Trust Bank restricts access to non-public personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. Furthermore, we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and client privacy through standard operating procedures, special training programs and our policies. We take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.

Idaho Trust Bank maintains appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your non-public personal information from unintended disclosure.

TYPES OF INFORMATION THE BANK COLLECTS

At Idaho Trust we collect nonpublic, personal information about you from many sources, including the following:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

Nonpublic, personal information does not include that which is available from government records, widely distributed media, or government-mandated disclosures.

TYPES OF INFORMAITON THE BANK DISCLOSES

The bank does not now, nor does it intend in the future, to disclose any personal financial information to any nonaffiliated third party. Except, as permitted by law, the bank may disclose certain personally identifiable information without allowing consumers the right to opt out of the bank's sharing agreements in the following circumstances:

  • To companies who perform transaction processing for the bank in the following circumstances: a) If the transaction, service, or product is requested or authorized by the consumer; b) To maintain or service a consumer's account as part of a private label credit card or other loan extension program; c) In connection with a securitization, secondary market sale (including servicing rights), or similar transaction related to a consumer
  • To disclose information necessary to enforce the bank's legal or contractual rights or rights of any other person who is engaged in the financial transaction
  • To disclose information required in the ordinary course of banking business, such as the settlement of claims or benefits, the confirmation of information to the consumer or the consumer's agent, and the billing, processing, or clearing of items in the normal course of business
  • To provide information to insurance rate advisory organizations, guaranty funds or agencies, agencies that are rating the bank, persons who are assessing the bank's compliance with the industry standards, and the bank's attorney's, accountants, and auditors
  • To the extent permissible under the Right to Financial Privacy Act
  • To a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • To comply with federal, state, or local laws, rules, and other applicable legal requirement

MAINTAINING CUSTOMER PRIVACY IN BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS WITH THIRD PARTIES

Sometimes it is necessary to provide identifiable information about you to a third party, such as to a vendor or service company that we hire to provide support or services for one or more of our products. We are very selective in choosing these vendors and service companies. When we enter into these relationships, we require them to adhere to strict standards regarding the security and confidentiality of customer information. They cannot release or use your information for their own purpose or sell or release your information to any third party.

RESTRICTIONS ON DISCLOSING INFORMATION TO PARTIES OUTSIDE OUR AFFILIATED BANKS AND COMPANIES

We do not reveal confidential information about you or your accounts to parties outside our affiliated banks and companies for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; (3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; (4) we are legally required or permitted to do so. We do not provide account or personal information to non-Idaho Trust Bancorp companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any non-financial products or services of those companies. In order to provide you with valuable product and service offerings, we do share information within the Idaho Trust Bancorp family of companies.

E-MAIL

If you agree to receive e-mail messages from Idaho Trust, we retain the information you provide us to deliver e-mails of specific interest to you. If you choose to send us e-mail, we may retain the content of your e-mail message, your e-mail address, and our subsequent response. Please be careful about the information you provide to us by e-mail. As with any web site, this channel of communication is not necessarily secure against interception.

COOKIES

A "cookie" allows Idaho Trust to determine that a visit has occurred within our site, as well as which pages were viewed. A cookie is NOT used to identify you and will not collect personal information. You may remain anonymous throughout your visit.
